Preserve Sporting Club to light Christmas Tree

RICHMOND, R.I. (WLNE) — The Preserve Sporting Club and Resort will host its annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Nov. 29.

The event will occur at 5 p.m. at the Preserve’s pavilion, and will feature hot chocolate, holiday sweets, and Santa Claus arriving on a fire truck.

The Preserve said that attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped gift or boxed toy donation for children in need.

The event is open to the public, although the clubhouse and hotel will only be open to members and hotel guests.

“The Preserve hosting its annual tree lighting. This year’s 35-foot Norway Spruce is from Shartner’s Farm.”

“The lights will be switched on promptly at five o’clock Friday night.”

Speaker 2 (00:15):
“This marks the third annual tree lighting ceremony. Now, besides live music, hot chocolate, and a lot of holiday treats, there will even be fireworks to celebrate. Again, that tree lighting, free and open to the public at The Preserve in Richmond. It starts at five. You’re also encouraged to bring an unwrapped gift to be donated to a child in need.
